7,000 Children's Clothing Items handed over to the Department of Social Protection

On June 4, Good Neighbors Kyrgyz Republic handed over more than 7,000 pieces of new children's clothing to the Department of Social Protection under the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The official handover ceremony was attended by Dina Turmanbekovna Anarbaeva, Director of the Department of Social Protection under the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic; Cho Sunhyung, Country Director of Good Neighbors International in the Kyrgyz Republic; Chinarkul Aidarbekovna Tumenbaeva, Director of the “Kelechek” Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities under the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic; as well as staff members of the institution.

The humanitarian aid was delivered from the Republic of Korea and will soon be distributed among residential social care institutions throughout the country. We sincerely thank Ms. Dina Turmanbekovna Anarbaeva, Director of the Department of Social Protection under the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, for her cooperation and joint efforts for the benefit of children in Kyrgyzstan.

For us, it is especially important that every item provided represents not only clothing, but also care, attention, and support for a child.

Good Neighbors continues to work toward creating a better future for children and families in Kyrgyzstan by joining efforts with government institutions and partners.

On December 19, 2024, two STEAM classes and a laboratory were opened at Baiseyit uulu Eshmanbet Secondary School in the Talas Region.

The classes are equipped with innovative technologies: smart boards, precise measuring devices and special tools for implementing STEAM methods.

A Changed for a New Life: Sergei’s story

This video shares the story of Sergey Eremenko, a client of the Women’s Taxi – Inclusive Taxi project of Good Neighbors in Kyrgyz Republic. Sergey, a first-degree person with disabilities, relies on a wheelchair, and thanks to our inclusive service, he has been able to experience freedom of movement. Now, we aim to help him achieve an even greater goal — rehabilitation at the New Life clinic.

At the end of the video, the clinic’s director shares Sergey’s real chances of recovery, explaining that his muscles are still active and can be restored. Sergey needs our support, and we are announcing a fundraising effort for his treatment. This video is part of our fundraising project and an inspiring step toward meaningful change.

Land Preparation: Training for Farmers

On November 29-30, 2024, in the village of Jer-Ui, Bolot Mambetov CDP, Ton district, Issyk-Kul region a two-day training was held on the topic of preparing land before processing Plots of steel from 35 farmers from the villages of AkSai, KokSai, Eshperov, Temir-Kanat and Jer-Ui.

 

The training was conducted by an experienced specialist Chang Pae Lee from the Global Impact Foundation. Precinct officer:

- We studied 4 key principles of land cultivation.

- We learned how to use local microorganisms (IMO) to improve soil fertility.

- We learned the preparation stages IMMO 1, IMMO 2 and IMO 3.

 

Thank you for the knowledge you have gained, the farmer will be able to convince of the effectiveness of his work and improve the quality of the poor. We are looking forward to how these Innovations will help in the development of agriculture in the region!
